Massachusetts motorists may soon buy a “Boston Strong” license plate to support the One Fund Boston which helps victims of the marathon bombing.
More than 60 legislators signed on as sponsors for the bill and the Massachusetts House has unanimously approved it, the Associated Press reports. Next up? The Senate and the governor.
The (at least) $50 specialty plate will include the words “Boston Strong” and a portion of the proceeds will go to One Fund Boston.
The bill states: “One ‘Boston Strong’ license plate may be issued free of charge to the parent, child, sibling or spouse of a family member killed or severely injured as a result of the events on or related to April 15, 2013.”
