Now for some political(ish) running news:
Sen. Max Baucus, the next U.S. ambassador to China, might run October’s Beijing Marathon.
“I’ve actually got my eye on the Beijing Marathon,” Baucus said on the Senate floor.
The Democrat from Montana made headlines in the 1990s when he walked the length of the Treasure State, more than 800 miles. In 2003, he ran a 50-mile ultra-marathon, Roll Call reports.
Runner’s World reports that Baucus was the first U.S. Senator to run a marathon while in office. His PR? a 3:01.
